What Superpowers Would You Like To Have?

I Am Sure You Dreamed About It At Least Once

The world is a marvelous place that is full of amazing people. I am pretty sure almost all of them daydreamed at least once about having a special quality that is way more significant when compared to regular humans.

When you hear people saying, “ I wish I could just read her mind,” or “ I wish I could teleport there in an instant,” are manifestations of their dreams and hopes.

Most of us always want to overcome our sometimes limiting human form. We want to be faster, stronger, smarter, live longer, be more emphatic, be more connected with nature, and so on. So, having a superpower, or an ability that allows us to surpass our limits is as natural as it can be.

How many of you have watched a superhero movie and never once imagined having their powers? I probably do it almost every time. I think it became so natural that I don’t even realize it.

When I see some superhero flying around, I undoubtedly find myself in the same picture, hovering around and enjoying the rarefied air. I see myself enjoying the sunshine and often thinking: “If I am so high and if I fly around so fast in all these different places, am I just going to know how to fly myself back home?”

The world looks so different from up there in the sky, so I think it is a valid question. On the other hand, if you do it often enough you learn the lay of the ground and how to properly navigate.

Yes, ok, you got me. I would like to fly, and not like a bird, not like a bullet or plane or any other thing in the sky. I would like to do it like a man. I have had multiple dreams over the years in which I would see myself flying like it was second nature. Sometimes I would float centimeters above the ground, other times, I would push myself to see how fast I could go among the clouds.

There were cases when I would wake up, and the dream seemed so real that I felt it part of everyday life. When I was younger, I remember once waking up and telling myself, that I finally mastered floating.

For a few minutes, an enormous feeling of joy and accomplishment surrounded me. It was an objective my inner self was really working towards, and to see it accomplished felt like a huge success.

I am sad to say, that, unfortunately, it was just a dream and I had not yet acquired the skill or ability to fly, but hope is not yet lost.

Are You Keeping It Secret?

Still, what would you do? When and if you get that desired superpower, what are you going to do? Are you going to keep it as hidden as possible, close to your inner core, or share it? Did this thought trouble you as well?

Would you like the world to see how much more capable the human mind and body are?

Maybe you are to thread with light fluffy steps into the unknown as people can be difficult to handle. There will be those that want to analyze you, those that will adore you, and those that will hate you, just because you are different, o because they can’t do it.

Those that can, do! Those that can’t, don’t!

I have given you a bit of food for thought until you manage to develop or obtain the superpower you desire. If you’re still thinking about it, of course.

Would You Help Or Stay On The Side?

And if we were to get a superpower, maybe only the ones that deserve it should be the ones to get one. Okay, now, I know I said something that’s part of utopic make-believe. We all know that in the real world, the Universe is about balance, or at least, that’s what we know thus far. To be continued, or not, if we discover it to be otherwise true or false.

In any case, the debate is still valid. If you had a superpower would you use it to help people? Or do you think mankind will become complacent?

Would Earth be a better place if people had superpowers, or would it divide humans even further?
